Job Description: Retail Mobile App Manager
Position Overview:
The Retail Mobile App Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the retail mobile application for our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of mobile app technology, retail operations, and effective project management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute the retail mobile app strategy, aligning it with the overall retail business objectives.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and define the scope of the mobile app project.
3. Manage the end-to-end mobile app development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
4. Ensure the mobile app meets high-quality standards, usability guidelines, and best practices for optimal user experience.
5. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business needs and user feedback.
6. Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends and opportunities, ensuring the mobile app remains competitive and innovative.
7. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and effectiveness of the retail mobile app.
8. Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth integration of the mobile app with existing systems, databases, and infrastructure.
9. Develop and maintain documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, and release notes, to facilitate effective app management and knowledge sharing.
10. Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile app development trends, technologies, and industry standards, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (X years) in managing the development and maintenance of mobile applications, preferably in a retail or e-commerce environment.
3. Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet project deadlines.
4. In-depth knowledge of mobile app development platforms, frameworks, and tools, such as iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, Xamarin, or similar.
5. Solid understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, sales, pricing, promotions, and customer engagement.
6. Proficient in using project management and collaboration tools, such as Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical and functional issues.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
9. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
